Random chatter time: It happened on my first play through on RE4. I had already been on edge from the brutal chainsaw attack and decapitation that happened moments within playing (haha I suck…) and had made it past the “split route” section with the El Gigante and down the sky lift. As it was eerily silent, I wondered what would come my way next. Then, in the distance I saw a body, without thinking I pulled out my gun (whatever I had… maybe it a rifle lol) and gunned down the figure in front of me. “UNNNNNGGGHHHHH” I heard. Then I saw the blue light, and realized who I’d shot down…

Merchant.

Yeah, that was a pretty valuable lesson LOL! I didn’t know at the time he’d wind up coming back to life or he had a bunch of cousins ala Officer Jenny/Nurse Joy. BUT AT THAT MOMENT I WAS SAD BECAUSE I’D NEVER HEAR THE WONDERFUL SOUNDS OF “WHATDYA BUYIN’ AGAIN!”.

Or I was completely f’d for the rest of the game and couldn’t buy/upgrade weapons xD!

Thank goodness my mistake wasn’t that fatal afterall.
